I'm a thirty-something Dutch guy, living in Amsterdam.

By day I'm a programmer (perl), by night I'm often asleep. Sometimes in between I do other stuff, like putting stuff on this weblog, putting stuff on other weblogs, programming things for myself (usually in other languages, such as my favourite of the moment, Common Lisp, or in C or C++). And a number of other things. Some of which I might even write about on this weblog.

I grew up abroad, in Indonesia, and I spent most of my primary school days in International schools, where the main language was English. I nearly exclusively read my books in English, and I prefer the English language for the written word. Which is why this weblog is in English.
